Homework Procedures

Students will have an agenda and homework folder. They need to bring these 2 items to school everyday. Please remove papers on the leave at home side of the folder. Agendas need to signed nightly. You may write any notes for me in the agenda.

Why is homework so important?

Homework is vital for student success. Completing nightly homework develops study skills, improves student performance, and provides review. Our Third Grade homework will help your child grow and learn each day. The reading log is especially important for student growth.

Reading Logs:

Write title of book being read in agenda nightly. Titles are capitalized and underlined.

Math Homework:

Students will usually have a math page to complete each night. The math homework will go with the lesson we have in class. If time allows students may start the math homework in school.


Students should write their name on all papers. No name = no credit for completed.

Students are expected to take pride in their work. All work should reflect their best effort. The handwriting should be legible  and pictures should be neatly done and colored. All word problems should be follow our CUBES strategy. C circle, U underline, B box, E,equation, S Solve and sentence

Late work will only be accepted the first semester.
